The weekend creates opportunities for creative individuals to achieve the next level by combining education, networking, and numerous art forms.

The mission is to promote economic prosperity in Virginia through education, advocacy, access to resources, and building relationships for small, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses.

15th Annual RVA Fashion Week
Liquid Gold Apothecs [jewelry designs] and Tough Cookie [clothing designs] collaborated for the 15th Annual RVA Fashion Week Finale Runway Event. RVAFW is committed to collaborating with local businesses and designers to display Richmond's style, creativity, culture, and arts by virtue of fashion to raise awareness of the fashion and arts culture hidden in Richmond by supporting emerging artists in the fashion and beauty industry, entrepreneurs and community partners. This is Saajida’s 2nd season as a participating jewelry designer for RVAFW!

Show Up TJ & Secure The Bag
Fashion show & panel collab event between Girls For A Change, RVA Fashion Week and Richmond Public Schools to help bridge the gaps public schools face with community and youth engagement. Thomas Jefferson High School Girl Action Team participants worked with designers, artists, entrepreneurs, and other creatives to design original pieces as a collective project that expresses fashion as a message for social change and represents their perspectives on the intersection of fashion and culture. VMFA Adult Studio: Beaded Jewelry Workshop
Awaken your creative spirit and draw ideas inspired by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts African art collection to create your own beaded jewelry. Practice traditional and contemporary beading techniques using an array of natural and fabricated materials, while learning about African cultures and body adornments. VMFA Teen Stylin' Workshop
“Adornment, Embellishment & Accessories: Transforming Materials” to highlight the theme of “Illusion.” My lecture focused on early African culture in terms of uses and purpose of body adornment.
The VMFA Teen Stylin’ program encourages participants to create gallery exhibit inspired wearable works of art using constructive and alternative materials that promote sustainability and thought-provoking pieces that challenge our ideas about art & fashion.

Crowned Waist Bead Workshop at The Well Collective
Liquid Gold Apothecs’ Crowned Waist Beads workshop in partnership with The Well Collective. This workshop took place on Lunar New Year event which marked the first new moon of the lunisolar calendar and signified a new season of renewal and prosperity. We focused on the deep connection to agriculture in terms of planting and harvesting according to the moon phases much like the rhythmic phases of menstruation & ovulation. Jan 2023

Mama Jo's Collection x LGA x RVAFW
LGA was invited to design exclusive jewelry for the Mama Jo’s Collection runway show with Radio B during the 14th Annual RVA Fashion Week Sneakerfest event. Mama Jo’s Collection is a legacy carried on by Radio B where he creates streetwear apparel using his late mother’s abstract art to design each piece. Oct 2022 RVAFW
